Local Schools and Authorities Issue Warnings Amidst Dangerous "Ladder Jumping" Trend Among Shrikeshire Youth After A Video Of A Window Cleaner Doing Crazy Stunts Went Viral
A seemingly innocent Tik Tok video of a local window cleaner, Paul Scott, jumping off his ladder in the garden has sparked a dangerous craze among teenagers in the Shrikeshire area. The trend has caused concern among parents and schools alike as the youths attempt to imitate the stunt by jumping off tall ladders into nettles, farm manure, lakes, and even the local zoo.
The uploader Kenny Wallace, pictured above top left, was the first to try out the crazy stunt, pinching his dad’s ladder and jumping in a patch of nettles as he threw a bucket of water in the air. His brother Brian bottom right, went next, doing an aerial somersault, landing in a forward roll and tipple-tailing into some dog muck. The days of collecting Pokemon cards, appear to be over.
Reports have emerged of youths suffering cuts, bruises, and broken bones as a result of the trend too, as they are jumping anywhere from 30 feet in the air into lakes. One teenage girl from Angorstock had to have her ears irrigated after landing head first in her Uncle’s pig manure patch.
Kerry Manson who mans the switchboard for the Shrikeshire Emergency Services was visibly rattled, “I’ve got the shakes and tremendous anxiety, and have to run to the toilet every five minutes, worried that the next call is going to be one kid taking it too far. I say too far, I mean we had to send firemen out to pull a Steve Irwin when a 14 year old boy landed in a Lion Enclosure!”
“It all starts rather innocently, a kid jumps off a few steps onto a patch of grass in the garden. Before you know it, they are climbing up wind turbines and starting to rattle a few Gorillas, and for what, so more people follow them on social media? The worse thing in my day when you did something stupid following a bad example, your father would ask ‘If someone asked you to jump off a cliff would you?’, yet calls are coming in every day of kids sticking ladders at the top of Bimblewick peer?”
Meanwhile, Paul Scott, the window cleaner who unwittingly sparked the trend, has expressed regret over the situation. “The amount of single mothers shunning me is giving me sleepless nights. Before they were answering the door in their nighties hinting something could happen. Now I’m known as that a***h*** who made their kid steal a ladder and jump in a big pile of horse sh**!”
Headmaster of Bimblewick School, Mr Rodney Owing, has expressed his anger and disappointment over the situation, expelling any students joining in this strange craze.
“Some of the satanic sheep have been thieving school property as well. All our ladders, buckets and first aid kits have gone missing.” said Headteacher Owing “I don’t believe in bringing the cane back, but in times like this you do wonder how schools survived and thrived without it. I’m lucky I still have my own ladder, a few kids around here know….” Just as Owing was walking around his garage, he notices something missing, “F****** H***! The little b******s!”
Bimbelwick Zoo meanwhile was baffled at the influx of teenagers sneaking in ladders and step ladders jumping over fences into the animal enclosures and actively encouraging the animals to follow suit, all to see who could get the most video views.
Is it time for social media platforms to take a more active role in policing the content on their sites? It’s certainly true that teenagers should be kept away from the influence of dodgy window cleaners.
Parents are advised to check their teenagers bedrooms for buckets and ladders, just in case.
