A Shrikeshire Widow In Nibbley Moore Used Wish To Order a 6 Pack of Penguin Biscuits For Only 23 Pence. She Was Startled When 3 Emperor Penguins Walked Out Of A Delivery Van, and Opened 3 More Boxes Full of Penguins.
Penelope Silverspink thought a bargain on the online Wish shopping platform was too good to turn down, when she saw an offer for a multipack of 6 Chocolate Penguin Biscuits going at 23 pence. A week later the last thing she expected was for a delivery van to pull up to her house in Nibbley Moore, with 3 wandering Emperor Penguins waddling out. Even more bizarre there were 3 more of them sealed up in boxes with small breathing-holes. She observed the Penguins heading for her garden like homing pigeons, owning the place very quickly.
“You just don’t expect this kind of mix up to happen. At first you think Jeremy Beadle is going to pop out the bushes, but this was real,” added the Shrikeshire based widow who soon homed and housed the Penguins. They quickly enjoyed cold baths and showers and playing on the settee, and would give her love and affection with regular snuggles and kisses. She claimed after less than a week they would each respond to her calls with different names, and would wake her like an alarm clock at 6am every morning for their fresh sardines.
All was going well, and Penelope claimed it was the gift of happiness that she hadn’t had since her late husband shuffled off this mortal coil. The Widow Silverspink continues “Her who resembles Mrs Mangle from Next Door decided to report me to the Shrikeshire Parish Council, and complained about loud Penguin Calls at 6 o’clock in the morning to Environmental Health. A bloke looking and sounding like Blakey from On the Buses came round with a clipboard, and a week later I was given a court order to return the penguins to Antarctica or face prosecution.”
The Shrikeshire Times financed Penelope’s expensive journey to Antarctica, where she waved a teary heartful goodbye to her 6 Best Friends. The Emperor Penguins reluctantly re-joined their clan of which they were rumoured to be kidnapped from by smugglers somewhere in Asia. The seller on Wish had since removed their account and all negative feedback, and gave a bogus return address in correspondence.
However The Shrikeshire Times was only able to Photograph 5 of the Penguins going back to their old comrades. Penelope was too shaken to talk on the walk back to the plane, with her coat fastened tight with a large lump in it. She claimed she had eaten too much spicy food on the way down and needed to sleep. She insisted on sealing herself in a private booth on the jet, and asked not to be disturbed because of her dicky tummy.
