Famous Restaurateur and Celebrity Chef Antony Worrall Thompson got more than he bargained for when a mix up in the recording studio between his Subliminal Recipes for Aspiring Chef's lacking confidence, was switched with his contribution to Celebrities Sing Children's Party Hits.
It was double duty for Antony Worrall Thompson this year, as he went to JT Recordings to record two separate projects at the same time. Proudly contributing to the charity album Celebrities Sing Children’s Party Hits, Thompson then recorded a unique hypnotic subliminal recipe track. The idea behind this was to give wannabe chef’s unstoppable confidence in the kitchen. Unfortunately for Antony, the studio mixed up the tapes.

The resulting chaos in the mix up in which over 100 first edition copies were sold before the Production Company noticed the error. Instead of being shit-hot in the kitchen after listening to their hypnosis track, grown adults were holding chickens in the air, attempting to stick deck chairs up their noses, and purchasing Jumbo Jets.
Meanwhile children expecting party hits, became legendary chefs in the kitchen. Kids as young as 5 years old were Master Cheffing Gooseberry Crumbles effortlessly. Other children were returning from birthday parties with recipe lists, asking for such things as oven gloves, aprons, and rolling pins for Christmas.
Once all 100 copies of these recordings were returned, JT Recordings fully refunded everyone, and offered to give a complimentary £12.50 voucher for anyone affected badly by any of the tracks.
One such person was Aimee Griffin from Angorstock in the East Parish of Shrikeshire. She had been inspired by Antony for years on television, and decided to listen to Track 8 which was supposed to be a subliminal recipe for Turnip Soup. She was not expecting Firestarter by the Prodigy to affect her behaviour at a work’s party later than evening.
We reached out about this to Dave Proctor at the studio, who has promised to also give a voucher to each of the 12 Fireman that were called out later that evening.
The Shrikeshire Times was given Track 2 on a pirated mp3 which was mistakenly sent to Adults to Boost Recipe Confidence. You can hear an extract of this track by clicking the play button to the left.
We tried to get hold of Antony Worrall Thompson himself, but he was too busy chopping some Rhubarb and said he would get back to us.
